This video actually sums up the end of Stünts and the beginning of Avanti Garda. We knew that the US trip had to happen and when we booked our flights we knew that we wanted to start thinking about filming this occasion a bit more professionally than what we were used to with Stünts. That’s when Venda started his research on camera equipment and got his first Panasonic AG-AC120 with a fisheye. We filmed this video without knowing under what it would be released, the Avanti Garda idea actually formed only in the winter after this summer trip. We just knew that we wanted to level up from Stünts, make people stop from mispronouncing it and just reform the whole idea.

The trip started in Colorado Springs with one of the most influential encounters in our parkour careers - with the big brains themselves - The Beans. Instant friendship and our first introduction to the American spirit and the American Spirit. One week in the Bean’s crib was the best start of the trip that continued with Denver and Boulder where we swapped the family to the notorious Try Hard Collective. The rest of the trip was actually unplanned and Las Vegas just kinda happened - a weird experience that was luckily easy to forget while spending a week in Hudson Lehr’s family’s house in LA. Forever grateful for the royal-like treatment from them. All that was left from the biggest parkour hotspots in the country was Boston and New York - our first visit to the Commons house and hanging out with people like Connor Pennington before it was cool. New York was a movie-like experience thanks to Vinnie from The Unknown Parkour.

We only had one camera with us that time, which now is pretty unimaginable, most of the clips have only one angle and we were still learning how to film, though with this trip we realised that this is the way we want to go and later that year we formed the collective of Avanti Garda.

Nine to Five was Venda’s first big edit and we celebrated the release with a small premiere screening in Kasárna Karlín in Prague - this small event was also another big point in our realisation, we had so much fun showing Nine to Five to a live audience and we agreed that we will do this with each project we release in the future - the first inception of Holding Hands.
